ARSUN UR Series of Portable Radial Drill with Universal Drill Head is the most suitable for drilling operations on heavy and sizable components which require quick and efficient preparations in terms of capacity as well as accuracy.
These machines are rigidly built to offer precision and flexibility to drill at any angular direction. Its drill head swivels on 2 planes – 90º up & 90º down, and its 360º rotational movement makes possible the drilling operation at any angular direction.
It is having all motorized movements of the arm up/down, arm traverse, drill head swiveling, drill head rotation, which offer fatigue-free easy location while drilling.
Features
- Wide range of different speeds and power feeds for drilling, tapping and reaming operations.
- While depth drilling, auto feed disengages at preset depth and at too high drilling pressure.
- Arm up/down, arm traverse, head tilting, 360° head rotation etc. movements are motorized with easy pendent control.
- Well adequately ribbed base, saddle, inner column, arms, skew bracket and drill-head offer maximum rigidity and minimum deflection.

UR series has two different types of models:
Model UR 30 – Fixed Column Type
- In this type of universal radial drill, the column is bolted with base and has no traverse movement.
- It has a wide range of 8-speeds and 5-power feeds with manual sleeve locking/unlocking function.
Model UR 50 – Column Traverse Type
- In this universal radial drill machine, the column traverses along the bed.
- This model has wide range of 15-speeds and 6-power feeds with motorized control over lock-unlock function.
Application of Universal Radial Drilling Machine
Radial drill machines are essential tools in a wide array of industries, thanks to their versatility, precision, and ability to handle heavy-duty machining tasks. These machines play a crucial role in the automotive sector, enabling the precise machining of engine components, gears, and chassis parts. In the aerospace industry, they are indispensable for drilling and tapping lightweight but durable materials like titanium and aluminum for aircraft components.
Heavy industries such as construction, oil and gas, and power generation also use these machines for fabricating and assembling large-scale equipment like turbines, pipelines, and structural steel. The shipbuilding and marine industry benefits from their ability to handle large, heavy materials for hulls and engine parts, while the railway sector uses them for precision machining of locomotive and track components.
Additionally, industries such as defense, mining, agriculture, and renewable energy leverage these machines to manufacture specialized equipment and infrastructure components, such as wind turbine towers, irrigation systems, and mining machinery.
